The following will be listed on Ebay (www.ebay.com) shortly. This is my Nikon FM2n system. If you want a pretty well-rounded, manual-focus camera system, this is pretty much it. I'm hardly shooting enough these days for me to justify keeping all of this. Typically, I was only using this system for vacations and lately my little Olympus Stylus Epic is all that I carry around for that, so this is just catching dust.
I'm in no way a pro or even a good amateur (heck, look at the pictures I took for this website), but making the switch from autofocus and consumer-level lens to this has been a real eye-opener. Instantly, I noticed that with the prime lens my pictures were much more sharper and contrasty. In addition, after taking a photography class where the instructor required a manual camera, I learned how much more control I really have with this type of camera and slide film. If you're seeking to be a student to this craft or you're wanting to go old, old school (these days digital has made autofocus cameras old school), this is it. The lens range is probably more than enough for the budding photographer or the pure traditionalist. All you may need is 300mm 2.8 and maybe a 20 2.8 to complete this system.
Oh well. So here's what listed on this auction:
